Scrapbook All Night!!

Graduation Card #2

I made some boy graduation cards for a friend and this is what they turned out like.  I used my sewing machine on pretty much the whole card.  I loved the way it turned out.  The center circle is a chip board circle and the metal button was just something in my collection of supplies that I purchased years ago.  I found a card in the Wishes book that was similar and adjusted it to at standard card size.

I was asked to make a graduation card for a friend and I wanted to make them extra special so I turned to the new Wishes book and copied almost exactly one of the cards from there.  I love that Book!!!

4 U Friend

I recently had a card class and this is one of the cards we made.  I used the Animal Cookies Creative Basics paper pack, Cuttle bug dies and embossing folder, and My Cricut.  This card had 7 layers of paper more than I usually use but I really liked the way it ended up.  Really fun!!  

Birthday Time...

Wow, I feel so behind...not just now ALWAYS!!!  I have finally had time to create some birthday layouts for my birthday's this year.  I have two more sets to put together, but I did get one of each done to show you.  My great idea is that I do most everything in MULTIPLES --FOUR that is.  I have decided that changing the paper for the boys is the best way to scrapbook.  I can get so many layouts done fore each of my kids by using the same layout for each one only changing the paper so make it a bit different.  I love it!  They don't seem to even notice that they have most of the same pages throughout their books.  I scrap for the future as well.  If I making a layout for on child and think that I might need one in the future for another child, It is so much easier to cut out more that one set of pages while I have the mess, verses creating it all over when I really do need it.  Needless to say I have a lot of pages waiting for future pictures.  Now you all now my secret.  I hope maybe it might help you in your scrapbook planning

Life is good

I was finishing up some extra cards from classes and workshops yesterday.  This is one of them.  Quite simple but I really like the way it turned out.  I stamped the flower  in Bubblegum ink and then used Heavenly blue re-inker and sponged it over the pink.  This made a beautiful purple center on my flower.  I also used Sweet leaf re-inker for the stem.  I love the bright flower.  The sentiment is from the Tree Tops stamp set, the flower is  from the set Finding Beauty.

Circle Cards with Wishes

I must say this is my first card that doesn't have four corners, Wow I feel like I really stepped outside my comfort zone.  It was so easy with the new Wishes book from Close To My Heart.  This is an amazing book with a lot of cards that are circular.  It comes with a CD for your templates but I decided I would weld two circles on my Cricut and make my card base that way.  SUPER EASY!!  and it turned out perfect.  I also found the cutest coasters at the craft store and they work perfect for my pattern piece on this card.  I also used the Tickled Pink flower and stamped it two times and layered one on top of the other to give it a little lift.  I used Stazon to stamp of the coaster and ribbon.  That's it so simple, but I love the way it turned out.

Be Yourself & a Big HUGE thanks!!

Wow, I don't ever thing I would have come up with this combination of colors on my own.  I was shopping the other day and came across some pretty cute chipboard coaters.  Immediately I knew they would make a great accent on a layout or a card.  I wasn't sure  how it would turn out, but I think the colors are awesome together.  Vineyard berry, Orange, Watermelon, and Olive,  This is a combination that I think I will be using more often.  I had the pages made and was going to go through my photos and get the perfect pictures on Friday night.  Friday night was a girls night for Tyler and Hayden and myself.  We went and had a pedicure, dinner, bowling and finished the night of watching Bride Wars.  I had told Tyler to go and get ready and she came out wearing this pink and orange shirt.  I grabbed  the camera and headed out back. It was perfect for the pages on the counter!   We had a great time taking some great pictures.  It was a great night, just me and my girls.  The title on the page it vinyl, cut with my Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot.  The stamps are the Tickled Pink set.
