Happy Birthday To ME !!!!

Well it's not actually my real birthday it is my Close To My Heart Birthday.  I have been a consultant for 8 years this week.  Wow! time flies.  I made this card for a class this month and loved how it turned out.  I have also decided to clean out my stamps be sure to check the upper right side of my blog.  There is a photo album of stamp sets that I am getting rid of.  Click on the picture and then you will see the price.  Hope you are all having a great Thursday.

A Happy Hello

It has been a while since I have had a chance to stamp.  We finally took the month of July and just played all month long.  That is why I have not posted anything.  The kids are back in school and hopefully soon I will be back in the creative process again.  This is a card that I created last month.  Had good intentions to show it earlier but forgot.  I found the polka dot coaster at the craft store in the cheep section.  I thought it made a great element for the card.   I punched the flowers out of foam on my cuttle bug.  Super easy!!  Everything else is CTMH. Hope you enjoy

Graduation Card #2

I made some boy graduation cards for a friend and this is what they turned out like.  I used my sewing machine on pretty much the whole card.  I loved the way it turned out.  The center circle is a chip board circle and the metal button was just something in my collection of supplies that I purchased years ago.  I found a card in the Wishes book that was similar and adjusted it to at standard card size.  

Congratulations Card

I was asked to make a graduation card for a friend and I wanted to make them extra special so I turned to the new Wishes book and copied almost exactly one of the cards from there.  I love that Book!!!

4 U Friend

I recently had a card class and this is one of the cards we made.  I used the Animal Cookies Creative Basics paper pack, Cuttle bug dies and embossing folder, and My Cricut.  This card had 7 layers of paper more than I usually use but I really liked the way it ended up.  Really fun!!  

Life is good

I was finishing up some extra cards from classes and workshops yesterday.  This is one of them.  Quite simple but I really like the way it turned out.  I stamped the flower  in Bubblegum ink and then used Heavenly blue re-inker and sponged it over the pink.  This made a beautiful purple center on my flower.  I also used Sweet leaf re-inker for the stem.  I love the bright flower.  The sentiment is from the Tree Tops stamp set, the flower is  from the set Finding Beauty.

Circle Cards with Wishes

I must say this is my first card that doesn't have four corners, Wow I feel like I really stepped outside my comfort zone.  It was so easy with the new Wishes book from Close To My Heart.  This is an amazing book with a lot of cards that are circular.  It comes with a CD for your templates but I decided I would weld two circles on my Cricut and make my card base that way.  SUPER EASY!!  and it turned out perfect.  I also found the cutest coasters at the craft store and they work perfect for my pattern piece on this card.  I also used the Tickled Pink flower and stamped it two times and layered one on top of the other to give it a little lift.  I used Stazon to stamp of the coaster and ribbon.  That's it so simple, but I love the way it turned out.

One of a kind

I have to say that I really love the new May stamp of the month.  I wasn't sure at first if I would really use it, but it has really grown on me.  I thought it would be fun to just add a splash of color to the black ink.  I used the wedding flowers from Michaels Crafts and added a CTMH Connections club sparkles to the centers.  I hope you like this card.

Spring Cleaning

It's that time of year and I have got to get organized again.  I have decided that I need to part with all of my retired Close To My Heart stamps.  I have created a photo album on the right side of my blog, you can click on it and see the great stamps that I have to part with.  All prices are $5.00 and UNDER!!!  What a great Steal!!  Just post a comment or email me and let me know which sets you want.

I just can't get enough of Treetops!!

Can this set get any better?  Man I am really having fun with this set.  I love the paper piercing that you can do with this set.  It makes it so much fun and easy to change the look of the stamped images.  This card came together really quickly and I wasn't sure of the color combo at first but I think it is okay.  The colors are Sorbet, Garden Green and Smokey Plum (which is a color that I have not used in a long time).  The colors were not what I had planed on using but they were laying on top of each other in a stack and It caught my eye.  I have big plans for a scrapbook page with this set.  I hope that I can get to that soon.  

I will post it for sure when I get it done.
